Pedro Bruno Teodoro Braumann was a prominent figure in the Portuguese statistical community, with significant contributions in the areas of Probability and Statistics, particularly in Measure Theory and Probability Theory.

This website provides a facsimile version of the three volumes of the work "Elements of Measure Theory with Relevance to Probability Theory," which was printed in 1969 by the Universities of Luanda and Lisbon but is no longer publicly available. This work, whose scientific and didactic quality can benefit any scholar of the subject and any student, in addition to a rigorous and systematic exposition (including little-known and even unprecedented aspects) of general theory, studies the law of large numbers and the convergence of sums of independent random variables, emphasizing the new developments that the author's research work has brought to these areas.
The publication of this work by SPE was only made possible thanks to the support of the author's children and grandchildren and the authorization of Agostinho Neto University and the University of Lisbon. We are deeply grateful to all of them. In addition to the authorization, these Universities and their respective Rectors, Professor Pedro Magalhães and Professor Luís Manuel dos Anjos Ferreira, wisely decided to join in and thus enhance this tribute.
